BetBoom Team Secures PGL Wallachia Season 8 Title With Dominant Grand Final Performance

BetBoom Team secured the PGL Wallachia Season 8 championship after a 3–0 victory over Aurora Gaming in the grand final. The result capped an unbeaten playoff run and confirmed BetBoom as the most consistent team throughout the bracket.

Their path to the title was direct. They advanced through the upper bracket without dropping a series and defeated Aurora twice, first in a close upper bracket final and then in a one-sided grand final.

BetBoom’s Upper Bracket Run Sets The Tone

BetBoom opened the playoffs with a 2–0 win over Team Spirit in the upper bracket quarterfinals. The series was controlled from start to finish and set the tone for the rest of their run.

They were tested in the next round against Team Liquid. Liquid managed to take a game, but BetBoom held their ground in the deciding map to secure a 2–1 win and move into the upper bracket final.

The match against Aurora Gaming proved to be their closest series of the tournament. Aurora pushed the pace and forced BetBoom into longer games, but BetBoom adjusted and closed the series 2–1. That result secured their place in the grand final and left Aurora with no margin for error in the lower bracket.

Aurora Gaming Advances Through Lower Bracket

After the loss in the upper bracket final, Aurora moved into the lower bracket with a strong response. They defeated HEROIC 2–0 in the opening round, showing clear control in both games.

Their next series against PARIVISION required more discipline. PARIVISION had already shown they could compete in longer series, but Aurora managed the pressure better and secured a 2–1 victory.

In the lower bracket final, Aurora faced Team Falcons. Falcons had already eliminated Team Spirit, PARIVISION, and Team Liquid to reach that stage. Aurora, however, limited their opportunities and closed the series 2–0 to secure a rematch in the grand final.

Team Falcons And Team Liquid Fall Short In Playoff Runs

Team Liquid began their playoff run with a convincing 2–0 win over Team Falcons in the upper bracket. That result positioned them as an early contender, but the loss to BetBoom in the semifinals pushed them into the lower bracket.

Liquid’s final series came against Falcons, who had already built momentum through multiple elimination matches. Falcons won that series 2–1, ending Liquid’s run.

Falcons’ lower bracket campaign included wins over Team Spirit and PARIVISION before their victory over Liquid. Their progress ended in the lower bracket final against Aurora.

PARIVISION also showed promise early in the playoffs with a 2–1 win over South America Rejects. However, consecutive losses to Aurora and Falcons prevented them from advancing further.

Defending champions of recent tournaments failed to even make the playoffs.

Grand Final Confirms BetBoom’s Control

The grand final did not reflect the competitiveness seen in earlier rounds. BetBoom Team closed the series 3–0, maintaining control across all three games.

Aurora entered the final after playing through multiple elimination matches, while BetBoom had not been pushed to the same extent. The difference in execution was clear. BetBoom dictated the pace and limited Aurora’s opportunities to extend the games.

Having already won their earlier meeting in the upper bracket, BetBoom entered the final with a clear understanding of how to approach the matchup. The second series was more decisive.

This result places BetBoom Team among the top teams heading into the Esports World Cup 2026, where they are expected to compete against the strongest rosters across the global Dota 2 scene.
