Crypto Comes to BetRivers: RSI Integrates BurraPay for Faster, Smarter Payments

It’s official—BetRivers’ players can now deposit and bet on sports and casino games using crypto. In a press release, Rush Street Interactive (RSI) announced its partnership with BurraPay to set up a crypto-ready cashier. Rush Street Interactive becomes BurraPay’s first US-based customer, and the agreement underscores the continued innovation in iGaming payments. 

Roll-out of the service is subject to a jurisdiction-to-jurisdiction process, subject to the state’s regulatory conditions.

BurraPay CTO and Co-Founder Luke Millanta expressed his happiness in working with RSI, their first US-based customer. Mr. Millanta acknowledged RSI’s role as an innovator and boasted the capabilities of BurraPay to deliver crypto payments “in a compliant, player-friendly, and scalable way”.

In a separate statement, Rush Street Interactive CEO Richard Schwartz shared his excitement about offering the new service. He added that BurraPay’s facility will enhance players’ flexibility when funding their accounts, reinforcing BetRiver’s commitment to putting players first.

Here’s What to Expect from the RSI x BurraPay’s Crypto Payment Agreement

Thanks to this landmark agreement, BetRivers customers can now fund their accounts with Bitcoin seamlessly and safely. Here are a few key features of the service:

• Flexible crypto payment solution. BetRivers players can now deposit and withdraw using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. BurraPay’s payment platform is compatible with most crypto storage solutions, wallets, or exchanges.
• Gradual and state-by-state rollout is expected. There will be a gradual rollout of the service, depending on the state’s specific regulatory rules and conditions. BetRivers currently serves at least 15 states, including Michigan and Pennsylvania.
• BurraPay brings a safe and compliance-first crypto payment service suited for iGaming. The company owns at least two patents that give its customers the capability to meet Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Transaction (KYT), and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) requirements.

RSI’s agreement with BurraPay is considered a landmark move in the fast-growing sweepstakes casino and iGaming market. Players are looking for something new, and offering them an option to fund accounts with Bitcoin offers flexibility and enhances the gaming experience. 

Recently, the American Gaming Association (AGA) updated its best practices for anti-money laundering (AML), and BurraPay’s patents and platform address all of these requirements.
