Dota 2 Patch 7.41b Hits Meepo Ahead Of DreamLeague Season 29 Qualifiers

Patch 7.41b is here, and Meepo finally takes a hit. With Wallachia S8 and DreamLeague qualifiers up next, teams now have to rethink their picks.

Dota 2 Patch 7.41b Hits Meepo Ahead Of DreamLeague Season 29 Qualifiers

Valve has released Dota 2 Patch 7.41b, a follow-up update aimed at refining the meta introduced in Patch 7.41.

With upcoming events like PGL Wallachia Season 8 and the DreamLeague Season 29 qualifiers, the timing of this patch is important. Teams now have a short window to adjust before competitive play resumes.

7.41 Set The Stage During ESL One Birmingham

Patch 7.41 was a major shift. It removed Facets entirely and forced teams to rethink how the game is played.

The update was also deployed mid-tournament during ESL One Birmingham 2026. Despite the sudden change, Tundra Esports dominated the event.

With the meta still developing, certain heroes quickly stood out.

Meepo Finally Gets Hit Hard

The biggest target in 7.41b is Meepo.

Following Patch 7.41a, the hero surged in pubs with a win rate close to 58 percent. His scaling and teamfight impact made him one of the hardest heroes to deal with once he came online.

Valve responded with direct nerfs.

Megameepo, his Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade, now has a longer cooldown, increasing from 60 to 90 seconds. This creates a clearer window to punish him when the ability is unavailable.

Divided We Stand has also been adjusted. Item bonuses are now reduced based on the number of clones, limiting his ability to scale quickly.

These changes should bring Meepo back in line, especially in pub games where he was most dominant.

Alchemist Adjustments

Alchemist also receives another round of nerfs after remaining strong in recent patches.

His base agility has been reduced from 22 to 19, making him easier to pressure early. This is especially relevant against lineups that rely on physical damage.

There is also a talent change. The Acid Spray talent has been moved from level 10 to level 15, delaying a key power spike. Corrosive Weaponry takes its place earlier.

The adjustments aim to slow down his early impact and make his timing less forgiving.

Beastmaster Finally Slows Down

Beastmaster, a long-time staple in the pro meta, has also been slightly toned down.

His base attack speed drops from 100 to 90, affecting his laning strength. Wild Axes’ debuff duration now scales instead of staying constant, slightly reducing its early efficiency.

The hero is still expected to remain viable, especially in coordinated play where his toolkit remains strong.

Important Timing For Upcoming Events

The release of 7.41b comes at a critical moment.

Two major upcoming tournaments are coming, with PGL Wallachia Season 8 approaching and the DreamLeague Season 29 qualifiers about to begin, teams will need to quickly adjust their drafts and priorities.

Heroes like Meepo, which dominated pubs in recent weeks, may no longer be reliable picks. Meanwhile, stable options like Beastmaster could still remain in the pool despite minor nerfs.

Stabilizing The Post-7.41 Meta

Patch 7.41b does not introduce new systems or mechanics. Instead, it focuses on correcting early imbalances from Patch 7.41.

After a major update that removed Facets and reshaped gameplay mid-tournament, this follow-up patch was expected.

Now, the focus shifts to how teams adapt. With two important events coming up, 7.41b will likely define the next phase of the competitive meta.
