Stake.us Leads Four Other Sweepstakes Casinos Out Of Tennessee

There’s a wave of exits from top sweepstakes casinos in Tennessee suggesting tightening regulatory pressure, and possible cease-and-desist letters

Stake.us

Stake.us is leading a coordinated exit out of Tennessee, suggesting increasing regulatory pressure and a pushback from authorities. High 5 Casino, LoneStar Casino, RealPrize, and Lucky Bits Vegas have also issued notices to their players.

High 5 Casino is the first to go on November 24th, while LoneStar and RealPrize announced that they will no longer allow sweepstakes coin play on the same day. Stake.us, on the other hand, will officially exit Tennessee on December 19th.

Sweepstakes Casino Crackdown Forces Operators to Redraw Plans

Lonestar

LoneStar and RealPrize, both owned by RealPlay Tech Inc., have announced their roadmap to customers via email. In the email, the company announced an update to its Terms and Conditions affecting players based in Tennessee, both new and existing accounts.

A part of the email reads:

“Starting November 24, 2025, RealPrize is phasing out Promotional Play (Sweeps Coins) in the state of Tennessee. Effective November 24, 2025, both existing registered accounts and newly registered accounts created by users in the state of Tennessee will not be able to participate in Promotional Play (Sweeps Coins) in any way.”

The company assured its players that it was a difficult decision for them and that it had explored all options.

Unlike Stake.us, which announced a complete pullout by December 19th, LoneStar and RealPrize players can still access their accounts in Tennessee and enjoy their games via Gold Coins (GCs).

High 5 Casino Plans a Transition in Two Phases

High 5 Casino

High 5 Casino also alerted its players in Tennessee via email. The company’s exit will happen in two phases:

  • November 17, 2025. New players can no longer register an account with High 5 Casino.
  • November 24, 2025. High 5 Casino will close its shop.

Interestingly, players’ accounts will remain open, and sweeps play can continue. Also, the High 5 Casino classic app will remain open to players based in Tennessee, which can be accessed via the company’s sweepstakes app.

What These Exits Mean to Operators, Players, and the Broader Sweepstakes Industry

The operators' early exit from the Tennessee market suggests that state regulations are becoming stricter. An exit becomes a viable alternative to sweepstakes casino operators looking to cut costs or reposition ahead of stricter regulations, rather than fighting the actions of the authorities. The exit also reflects a broader trend nationwide.

If you’re a player, then now’s the best time to redeem your coins or prize balances. If you haven’t checked your accounts yet, then now is the right time to update your balances and close the accounts.
