Antwerp Becomes Fortnite's Next Championship Destination
The Global Championship has moved around significantly in recent years. Copenhagen hosted the inaugural FNCS Global Championship in 2023, followed by Fort Worth in 2024 and Lyon in 2025. Antwerp will now become the fourth city to host Fortnite's biggest annual competition.
The event is expected to bring together players from every major competitive region, including Europe, North America, Brazil, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East. Qualification remains ongoing through the FNCS circuit, with additional spots being awarded throughout the remainder of the season.
Unlike previous years, Epic also moved the championship forward on the calendar. The company said the September dates better align with the launch of a new Battle Royale season planned for later in the summer.

The Road to Antwerp Is Still Underway
The Fortnite Global Championship is one of the biggest esports event in Fortnite this year, while the destination is now locked in, much of the competitive picture remains undecided.
FNCS Major 2 and Major 3 will continue determining who qualifies for Antwerp, while the recently concluded Major 1 Summit in Germany awarded the first batch of Global Championship spots. The top 25 duos from that event secured qualification, leaving the remaining places to be filled through the rest of the FNCS season.
Epic has yet to announce the championship prize pool, but the event remains the pinnacle of Fortnite competition. With Antwerp confirmed and qualification races heating up across every region, teams now know exactly where their season could end: on the biggest stage Fortnite has to offer.
