Pulsz Plans Exit in California – Biggest Sweeps Casino Gone by December 15

Pulsz, one of the biggest brands in sweepstakes casino gaming, is exiting California effective December 15th

With California’s deadline for sweepstakes casinos looming in the background, several operators are making their move out of the state. Pulsz, a brand owned and operated by Yellow Social Interactive Ltd, has become the largest operator to exit ahead of the looming deadline set on January 1st, 2026.

The company’s exit process began on November 17th, and a full shutdown of its operations will happen on December 15th. Two Pulsz brands are operating in California, Pulsz Bingo and Pulsz Casino, and they’re both bowing out ahead of the deadline, following the exit schedule.

What’s in the Pulsz Timeline?

Pulsz shared the news with its users via email last week.

In the email, Pulsz management acknowledged the impact of California’s AB831 on its operations. The message then explains that “due to the passing of the legislation AB831 by the California State Legislature, we will no longer be able to offer Pulsz online social games and sweepstakes promotions to residents of California”.

So, how does this announcement affect you as a player? Here’s a quick summary of this latest development:

  • November 17th, 2025. Mail-in requests for free Sweepstakes Coins (SCs) are no longer accepted.
  • December 1st, 2025. Users are no longer allowed to buy additional Gold Coins (GCs) packages.
  • December 8th, 2025.   Players have until December 8th to use the remaining GCs in their accounts for gameplay or to enter promotions.
  • December 15th, 2025. Players' accounts are automatically closed.

Although players can no longer play on both Pulsz sweepstakes casino platforms, the operator will still accept redemptions until December 15th.

What’s Ahead for Pulsz?

This isn’t the first time Pulsz management has been confronted with state crackdowns. A few months ago, Arizona’s Department of Gaming also hit Pulsz (together with Betty Sweeps, Fliff, and Thrillz) with cease-and-desist orders, labelling them as “illegal and unlicensed gambling operators.

All respondents were asked to shut down their services by August 29th, and all accounts should be closed by September 19th.

California’s crackdown feels like déjà vu for the company- it’s the same predicament, but on a grander and potentially expensive scale.
