VGW Sites, Including Chumba, to End Sweeps Coins in Tennessee: Timeline Explained
VGW, the operator of Chumba Casino and LuckyLand Slots, shared its exit timeline in Tennessee

The biggest brand in sweepstakes casino gaming is making a move out of Tennessee. VGW, the company behind LuckyLand Slots, Chumba Casino, and Global Poker, have announced that it’s officially ending its Sweeps Coins (SCs) gameplay on December 23rd, 2025.
According to a company representative, the decision to end sweepstakes coin gameplay was made carefully, and added that free play through Gold Coins (GCs) will continue.
Watch Out for These Key Dates
In a statement, VGW announced that it’s planning a phased exit in Tennessee starting November 24th, 2025.
Here’s a part of the statement:
“Following careful consideration, we can confirm we’ve informed players in Tennessee of a decision to phase out Promotional Play (sweepstakes promotions) in the state across our brands”.
The company clarified that players based in Tennessee can still enjoy their free-to-play games like online slots using Gold Coins (GCs). They added that the decision wasn’t easy, and admitted that some players may be disappointed. The decision, according to the spokesperson, was based on a range of factors.
Here’s a look at the timeline:
- November 24th, 2025. Players can no longer claim new Sweeps Coins via purchase bonuses, login rewards, purchase bonuses, or postal mail-in requests.
- December 23rd, 2025. Sweep Coins are no longer accepted for gameplay, and the company will stop processing AMOEs or “address-mail-on-envelope” requests.
- After December 23rd, 2025. Players can still initiate redemptions of SCs.
- January 20th, 2026. VGW sites in Tennessee will no longer process redemption requests for SCs.
VGW further added that they’re 100-percent focused on ensuring that all of its players are fully informed of the changes.
Tennessee Witnesses a Wave of Operator Actions

VGW’s LuckyLand Slots and Chumba Casino aren’t the only sweepstakes casino operators that are exiting Tennessee.
Stake.us, together with LoneStar Casino, RealPrize, High 5 Casino, and LuckyBits Vegas, have also announced its plans to partially or fully shut down its operations. Stake.us plans to close shop on December 19th, ending both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins play.
RealPlay Tech’s LoneStar and RealPrize have sent emails to customers, informing them they will also a se adjust their business model. Like VGW’s sites, RealPlay’s sites will only stop sweepstakes coin gameplay.
