Arizona Tribal Gaming Contributions Reach $46.2 Million in Q4
Arizona's tribal casinos contributed more than $46.2 million to the Arizona Benefits Fund during the fourth quarter of FY2026.

Arizona's tribal gaming industry contributed more than $46.2 million to the state's Arizona Benefits Fund during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, marking another strong quarter for tribal casinos and the public programs they help support.
According to the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG), the latest contribution represents a 1.9% increase compared to the same quarter in fiscal year 2025. Over the full fiscal year, tribal gaming contributions reached $170.8 million, continuing a long-standing revenue-sharing partnership between Arizona tribes and the state.
Education Receives the Largest Share
Under Arizona's Tribal-State Gaming Compact, 88% of tribal gaming contributions are directed to the Arizona Benefits Fund, which supports a range of statewide initiatives.
Education once again received the largest allocation during the fourth quarter, with more than $25.2 million dedicated to the Instructional Improvement Fund. Trauma and emergency services received $11.5 million, while wildlife conservation and tourism programs each received nearly $3.3 million.
The remaining allocations included:
| Program | Funding |
|---|---|
| Instructional Improvement Fund (Education) | $25,287,379 |
| Trauma and Emergency Services Fund | $11,521,112 |
| Arizona Department of Gaming Operating Costs | $2,323,969 |
| Arizona Wildlife Conservation Fund | $3,291,746 |
| Tourism Fund | $3,291,746 |
| Problem Gambling Education, Treatment and Prevention | $516,438 |
| Total | $46,232,390 |
ADG Director Jackie Johnson said the latest contributions will continue supporting key public services across Arizona, including education, emergency care, conservation efforts, and public safety initiatives.
Tribes Continue Supporting Local Communities
The Arizona Benefits Fund receives the majority of tribal gaming revenue under the state's gaming compact, but it is not the only beneficiary.
The remaining 12% of gaming contributions are distributed directly by Arizona tribes to cities, towns, and counties of their choosing. Those funds help finance community programs, local government services, and public safety projects throughout the state.
Since fiscal year 2004, tribal gaming has generated approximately $2.5 billion in cumulative contributions for Arizona, making it one of the state's most significant long-term public funding partnerships.
