Chukchansi Gold Resort Opens Largest Smoke-Free Gaming Venue

Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino has expanded its gaming floor with the opening of the Acorn Casino, a new smoke-free gaming venue designed to meet growing demand for cleaner, smoke-free entertainment options.

Located in Madera County, California, the new 6,000-square-foot gaming space officially opened on Friday and becomes the property's largest dedicated smoke-free casino area, giving guests more choice while expanding the resort's overall gaming offerings.

Acorn Casino Expands Smoke-Free Gaming Options

The Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians said the new venue reflects changing guest preferences, with more visitors seeking casino experiences in smoke-free environments.

"We're proud to expand our offerings with a new dedicated gaming experience designed entirely around their preferences," said Deann Kamalani, Chairperson of the Tribal Council for the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians.

The opening is part of the resort's broader efforts to modernize its gaming floor while providing greater flexibility for guests who prefer not to play in traditional smoking areas.

Larger Gaming Floor for Chukchansi Gold

The addition of the Acorn Casino increases Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino's total gaming inventory to approximately 2,000 slot machines and 45 table games across the property.

While many tribal casinos introduced temporary smoke-free gaming areas during the COVID-19 pandemic, several operators have continued investing in permanent non-smoking spaces as guest demand has remained strong. Dedicated smoke-free gaming areas have become an increasingly common amenity, helping casinos attract new visitors while accommodating changing customer preferences.

For Chukchansi Gold, the expansion strengthens its position as one of Central California's largest tribal gaming destinations while offering guests another option to enjoy the casino floor.
