Vitality Continue Unstoppable 2026 Run With BLAST Rivals S1 Victory

Another Major Tournament, Another Major Title For Team Vitality

Vitality Continue Unstoppable 2026 Run With BLAST Rivals S1 Victory

Team Vitality claimed yet another trophy in 2026 after sweeping Natus Vincere 3–0 in the BLAST Rivals Season 1 grand final in Fort Worth, Texas.

The result gives Vitality their fifth tournament title of the year and extends what is becoming one of the strongest runs seen in Counter-Strike in recent seasons.

The final scoreline suggests a comfortable series. The opening map was anything but.

Vitality Recover From 0–11 Start On Nuke

NAVI looked fully in control early on Nuke.

They opened the series with an 11–0 lead, winning nearly every opening duel and repeatedly shutting down Vitality’s attempts to stabilize. The map appeared headed toward a one-sided finish, especially with NAVI controlling the pace on both sites.

Vitality eventually found late rounds before halftime and slowly rebuilt momentum after the side switch.

The comeback completely changed the tone of the series.

Vitality forced overtime after recovering from the massive deficit and closed the map 16–12. What looked like NAVI’s best chance to take control of the final instead became the turning point that swung the series entirely in Vitality’s favor.

Anubis followed a similar pattern.

NAVI remained competitive throughout the second map and even held a late advantage at 11–9. Once again, however, Vitality closed stronger in the final rounds and secured a 13–11 victory to move within one map of the title.

By the time the series reached Dust2, the momentum had fully shifted. Vitality dominated the final map 13–3 to complete the sweep.

Five Titles In A Row Further Strengthen Vitality’s Position

The BLAST Rivals trophy adds to an already stacked 2026 campaign for Vitality.

The team has now won IEM Katowice, PGL Cluj-Napoca, BLAST Open Lisbon, IEM Rio, BLAST Open Rotterdam and BLAST Rivals Season 1 in succession, establishing themselves as the clear team to beat in Counter-Strike 2.

What separates this run is not just the number of trophies, but the way Vitality continue winning under pressure.

NAVI had real opportunities to take both Nuke and Anubis. Against most teams, an 11–0 lead on Nuke likely ends the map immediately. Vitality survived the collapse, recovered, and eventually took over the series.

That ability to stay composed during losing stretches has become one of the defining traits of this roster.

Ropz And ZywOo Deliver Again In The Final

Robin “ropz” Kool played a major role throughout the series, particularly during the comeback on Nuke where several late-round holds kept Vitality alive long enough to recover.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut once again delivered in key moments and secured another MVP award during the team’s title streak. His consistency throughout 2026 remains one of the biggest reasons Vitality continue separating themselves from the rest of the field.

Still, this version of Vitality is no longer dependent on one player carrying every series.

The roster continues finding impact from multiple positions, especially in late rounds where their composure has repeatedly made the difference during close maps.

Vitality Continue To Separate Themselves From The Field

NAVI showed throughout the final that they can still challenge elite teams mechanically. Their start on Nuke proved that.

But closing a series against Vitality has become a different problem entirely.

The team continues finding ways to recover from poor starts, punish small mistakes, and take control late in maps. That pattern has repeated itself throughout nearly every tournament during this run.

Six straight titles later, Vitality are no longer simply winning events.

They are setting the pace for the entire Counter-Strike scene in 2026, including the upcoming Esports World Cup 2026.
