GRID and Polymarket Partner to Bring Official Data and Livestreams to Esports Prediction Markets

Polymarket is expanding its esports presence through a new partnership with GRID, bringing official match data, livestreams, and real-time statistics directly to its prediction market platform.

GRID and Polymarket Partner to Bring Official Data and Livestreams to Esports Prediction Markets

Polymarket is making a bigger push into esports through a new partnership with esports data company GRID, which will provide official match data, livestreams, and real-time statistics directly to the prediction market platform.

The deal will see GRID become Polymarket's exclusive esports data partner, giving users access to live match information sourced directly from game servers and tournament organizers. The integration is already live and arrives ahead of several major events on the esports calendar, including the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational, VALORANT Masters London, and IEM Cologne.

While Polymarket has offered esports-related markets before, the partnership signals a much deeper commitment to the category. Instead of relying solely on market odds and community sentiment, users will now be able to follow matches through live statistics, official data feeds, and streaming integrations without leaving the platform.

Polymarket Expands Its Esports Ambitions

Esports has become an increasingly important category for prediction markets over the past year, particularly as platforms look for opportunities beyond traditional sports and political events.

According to the companies, GRID's infrastructure will provide real-time information directly from publishers and tournament operators, including partners such as Riot Games, BLAST, ESL FACEIT Group, Ubisoft, and other major stakeholders across the esports ecosystem. The goal is to create a single destination where users can follow matches, monitor market activity, and access official match data in real time.

Ari Borod, President of Sports Business Development at Polymarket, said the partnership is designed to improve the experience for esports-focused users.

"Esports moves fast, and so should the markets built on it," Borod said. "GRID gives our users official data with lower latency and access to live streams in real time, all in one place."

The announcement follows several recent moves by Polymarket in the esports space, including new League of Legends markets tied to MSI 2026. The company has also continued expanding its broader sports offerings through partnerships with leagues, media companies, and data providers.

Why GRID Matters

For esports fans, GRID has become one of the most recognizable names in competitive gaming data.

The company works directly with publishers and tournament organizers to collect official data from game servers, allowing betting operators, analytics platforms, and now prediction market companies to access reliable match information. GRID's data portfolio covers many of the industry's largest titles, including Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, VALORANT, and Dota 2.

That level of access is particularly important for prediction markets, where accurate and timely data plays a major role in how contracts are created and settled. By using official match information rather than relying on third-party sources, platforms can reduce disputes while improving transparency for users.

Moritz Maurer, CEO of GRID, said the partnership is intended to combine official data with live viewing experiences, creating a platform built specifically for esports-focused traders and fans.

A Growing Intersection Between Esports and Prediction Markets

The partnership is another sign of how closely esports and prediction markets are becoming linked.

Over the last year, prediction market operators have increasingly looked toward competitive gaming as a growth opportunity. Major esports tournaments provide a steady stream of matches, clear outcomes, and highly engaged audiences, making them a natural fit for event-based trading platforms.

For Polymarket, the deal adds another layer to its growing esports offering. For GRID, it represents an opportunity to bring official esports data into a rapidly expanding sector that sits somewhere between sports, gaming, and financial markets.

With MSI 2026, VALORANT Masters London, and IEM Cologne all taking place in the coming weeks, the partnership will get its first major test during one of the busiest stretches of the esports calendar. Whether esports prediction markets can become a significant category alongside traditional sports remains to be seen, but both companies are clearly betting on that future.
