GRID Partners With Naver To Bring Real-Time Esports Data To CHZZK

GRID and Naver are teaming up to bring real-time data into CHZZK streams, starting with League of Legends and the LCK.

GRID Partners With Naver To Bring Real-Time Esports Data To CHZZK

Esports data platform GRID has partnered with Naver to integrate official real-time match data into CHZZK, the company’s live streaming platform.

Naver is one of South Korea’s largest technology companies, widely known for its search engine and digital services ecosystem. In recent years, it has expanded into live streaming through CHZZK, a platform launched after Twitch exited the South Korean market. GRID, on the other hand, is a specialized esports data provider that delivers official, low-latency data to broadcasters, betting operators, and digital platforms.

The partnership brings these two areas together. GRID’s data is now being embedded directly into CHZZK broadcasts, starting with League of Legends competitions, including the LCK.

Strengthening Esports Viewing Through Data Integration

With the integration in place, viewers on CHZZK can access real-time statistics such as win probability, match timelines, and key in-game events while watching matches live. The goal is to provide additional context without disrupting the viewing experience, allowing audiences to better understand how games develop.

For Naver, this move strengthens CHZZK’s position in the esports streaming space. By adding official data overlays, the platform is moving beyond basic streaming and offering a more interactive and informative product. This is particularly relevant in South Korea, where esports viewership is highly engaged and data-driven insights are valued by fans.

For GRID, the deal represents another step in expanding its global reach. The company has been building partnerships across different parts of the esports ecosystem, focusing on distributing official data that can be used in real time across multiple platforms.

The rollout is expected to extend beyond the LCK to include international League of Legends events such as the Mid-Season Invitational and the World Championship. Additional titles and competitions may also be added over time as the partnership develops.

The integration reflects a broader shift in how esports content is consumed. Streaming platforms are increasingly combining live broadcasts with real-time data to improve engagement and retention. This trend is not limited to traditional viewing, as platforms continue to integrate live scores and livestreams directly into esports experiences.

As more companies adopt similar approaches, real-time data is becoming a standard feature in esports broadcasts, shaping how audiences follow and understand competitive play.
