Delta Air Lines and DraftKings have teamed up to launch SkyPicks, a new in flight sports prediction game that gives passengers a chance to make predictions on live sporting events while they travel.

Unlike traditional sports betting, SkyPicks is completely free to play and does not involve real money wagering. Instead, eligible passengers can answer sports related questions and compete for prizes, including Delta gift cards, through the airline's onboard entertainment platform.

A New Form of In Flight Entertainment

SkyPicks is available on Wi-Fi enabled domestic Delta flights through the airline's Delta Sync platform. To take part, passengers must be 21 or older, be enrolled in SkyMiles, and sign in with or create a DraftKings account.

The game launches with Major League Baseball contests, where players answer prediction style questions such as who will score first or which team will win. DraftKings has also confirmed that NFL contests will be added later this year.

No Betting Involved

Although DraftKings is best known for its sportsbook, both companies stressed that SkyPicks is an entertainment product rather than a gambling service.

There are no deposits, entry fees or cash wagers, helping the game comply with U.S. laws that prohibit gambling on commercial aircraft. Instead, participants earn points based on the accuracy of their predictions, with top performers eligible for prizes.

Building on an Existing Partnership

The launch follows a partnership announced by Delta and DraftKings in 2025, with both companies exploring new ways to bring sports content to travellers.

Delta says sports programming remains one of the most popular categories on its in flight entertainment platform, making prediction style games a natural addition for passengers looking to stay connected to live events while flying.

Sports Predictions Reach New Audiences

The arrival of SkyPicks highlights how prediction style games are expanding beyond traditional sportsbooks and dedicated prediction market platforms.

While the product stops short of allowing real money betting, it reflects growing interest in interactive sports experiences that keep fans engaged wherever they are.

For DraftKings, the partnership offers another way to introduce sports predictions to a bigger audience. For Delta, it adds something extra of entertainment designed to make time in the air a little more engaging.
