FanDuel is sticking with one of its key technology partners as the Flutter-owned operator has agreed to a new multiyear partnership renewal with GeoComply.
The deal will see GeoComply continue providing FanDuel with geolocation and identity verification services, while also supporting the operator's efforts to prevent fraud and maintain compliance across its regulated markets.
For an online gambling operator operating across multiple states, these systems are a core part of the customer experience. FanDuel needs to verify that players are physically located where wagering is legal while also making sure accounts and registrations meet its security requirements.
FanDuel President Christian Genetski said the relationship has helped the company build a platform focused on both customer experience and compliance.
“Our focus has always been on delivering a great customer experience while operating with the highest standards of integrity and compliance.”
What GeoComply Provides FanDuel
Under the renewed agreement, FanDuel will continue using GeoComply's geolocation and identity verification technology, with the company also providing direct access to a team of engineers supporting FanDuel in real time.
GeoComply said its technology currently records a 99.7% pass rate for FanDuel player checks, while its services process approximately 2.5 billion checks every month across its entire portfolio of operator partners.
The company also reports 99% availability during peak player traffic periods, an important figure for operators handling major sporting events when betting activity can surge within minutes.
Beyond simply confirming a customer's location, GeoComply's technology is also used for fraud and abuse detection, authentication and other compliance-related services.
GeoComply CEO Kip Levin said the relationship has developed alongside FanDuel's expansion from its first regulated market to its current nationwide presence.
“FanDuel and GeoComply have grown up together, from their first regulated state to nationwide scale.”
Levin added that the companies have built additional tools around the data generated through those systems, including fraud detection, authentication and market insights.
GeoComply Continues Expanding Its Operator Partnerships
The FanDuel renewal is the latest in a series of major deals for GeoComply as gambling operators continue investing in compliance and security technology.
In May, Hard Rock Digital expanded its existing partnership with GeoComply, giving Hard Rock Bet access to the company's IDComply solution for KYC and AML requirements.
DraftKings also extended its partnership with GeoComply in June, following the launch of its new super app combining multiple gaming verticals.
That same month, Caesars Entertainment renewed its multiyear agreement with GeoComply. The deal covers Caesars' online casino and sports betting operations across every regulated market where the company holds a gaming license.
The continued renewals highlight how important geolocation, identity verification and fraud prevention have become as U.S. online gambling expands. For operators like FanDuel, maintaining a reliable compliance system is not just about meeting regulatory requirements; it is also about keeping the registration and betting process as smooth as possible for customers.
