Forkast Launches ATLAS

Prediction market platform Forkast has launched ATLAS, a new AI-powered trading layer designed to let autonomous agents execute trades on behalf of users, marking a significant step toward AI-assisted event trading.

The launch comes alongside bold comments from Forkast CEO Chris Gonsalves, who believes AI agents will become the next major evolution in retail trading. Rather than manually placing trades, users could increasingly rely on AI to analyze markets, execute strategies, and manage positions across multiple platforms.

ATLAS is initially available on Forkast, but the company says its long-term vision extends beyond prediction markets to other trading platforms, including cryptocurrency and traditional financial markets.

Forkast Wants AI Agents to Manage Trading

According to Gonsalves, ATLAS is designed to serve as a dedicated trading layer for AI agents instead of functioning as a simple chatbot or automated trading script.

The platform enables AI agents to monitor a user's portfolio, determine which trading venue or tool is best suited for a particular task, and execute trades based on user-defined objectives. Users remain in control of the overall strategy while delegating day-to-day trading decisions to AI.

Forkast says ATLAS also incorporates memory, allowing agents to learn from previous trades and refine their decision-making over time instead of repeating static strategies.

Gonsalves described ATLAS as more than an automation tool, explaining that it is intended to become a universal layer capable of interacting with multiple trading platforms.

"ATLAS is the trading layer, built for AI agents. It's live today on Forkast, and it's expanding to every place retail traders hold risk."

AI Trading Continues to Gain Momentum

Forkast's announcement reflects a broader trend toward AI-assisted trading across financial markets.

According to Gonsalves, 14 of the 20 most profitable traders on Polymarket are automated bots, illustrating how algorithmic trading is already playing a significant role in prediction markets. Other companies have also begun adapting their platforms for AI integration, with examples including Coinbase's x402 protocol and Robinhood's efforts to support AI-driven account management.

Forkast believes ATLAS can help bridge the gap between institutional and retail traders by giving individuals access to technology that continuously monitors markets and executes trades. Instead of manually tracking dozens of positions or reacting to breaking news, users would be able to assign objectives to an AI agent, which would then determine how best to carry out those instructions.

Unlike traditional trading bots that simply follow a fixed strategy, Forkast says ATLAS is designed to retain information from previous trades, choose the most appropriate tools for a specific task, and adapt its approach over time. The company argues that this allows AI agents to become more effective as they gain experience, rather than repeating the same predefined actions.

The goal, according to Forkast, is not to replace traders but to shift their role. Rather than spending hours watching price movements and manually placing orders, users become supervisors who define strategies while AI agents handle the execution.

Prediction Markets Are Just the Starting Point

While ATLAS debuts on Forkast's own prediction market, the company sees event contracts as the ideal environment for AI-powered trading.

Prediction markets generate a constant stream of real-world events that require rapid analysis and decision-making, making them well suited for autonomous trading systems. Gonsalves said the company's long-term objective is to build a single AI layer capable of managing positions across multiple trading platforms.

"Prediction markets are the wedge because they're the perfect playground for event-driven agents. But the real goal is bigger: one agent, every trading app."

If successful, the platform could eventually connect users to prediction markets, cryptocurrency exchanges, and other financial markets through a unified AI interface.

The launch of ATLAS highlights how artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly integrated into prediction markets as platforms explore new ways to automate trading, analyze information, and improve execution. Whether AI agents become the standard tool for retail traders remains to be seen, but Forkast is positioning itself at the forefront of that shift.
