Kalshi has expanded its range of public company event contracts, introducing new markets tied to corporate earnings and business performance as it looks to compete more directly with traditional options trading.

The new contracts allow users to trade on outcomes such as quarterly revenue, subscriber growth, deliveries and other company specific metrics using simple yes or no event contracts rather than conventional options or futures. The move is part of Kalshi's strategy to make financial event trading more accessible to a bigger audience.

A Simpler Alternative to Options

Unlike traditional options, which often require traders to choose strike prices, expiration dates and contract sizes, Kalshi's event contracts focus on a single outcome.

Users can take positions on whether a company will exceed or fall short of a specific performance target, offering a more straightforward way to trade around earnings announcements and other major corporate events. According to the company, the contracts are designed to appeal to both experienced traders and newcomers looking for a simpler product.

Expanding Beyond Politics and Sports

Kalshi has steadily increased its focus on financial markets over the past year, adding contracts linked to inflation, interest rates, cryptocurrencies and commodities.

The addition of more public company markets continues that strategy, giving users opportunities to trade around some of the biggest names on Wall Street. It also shows Kalshi's ambition to position event contracts as an alternative to more traditional financial products.

Competition in Financial Markets Continues to Grow

The expansion comes as prediction market platforms continue investing in new products to attract retail and institutional traders alike.

While options markets remain the dominant way to trade corporate events, Kalshi believes event contracts can offer a more transparent and accessible approach for users who want to express a view on a company's performance without the added complications of traditional derivatives.

As prediction markets continue to evolve, financial products are becoming an increasingly important area of growth alongside sports, politics and real world events.
