MLBB is the most watched game of EWC 2026

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has emerged as the most-watched title at the Esports World Cup 2026, further reinforcing mobile esports' position as one of the biggest drivers of global esports audiences.

New viewership figures released by Esports Charts show that the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) has generated the tournament's largest audience so far, comfortably outperforming every other title at the event. Combined with the MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI), the franchise has already amassed more than 45 million views, accounting for nearly half of the tournament's total viewership during its opening weeks.

The numbers continue a trend that has become increasingly difficult to ignore. Mobile esports is no longer competing with PC titles for attention in key regions. In many cases, it is setting the benchmark.

MLBB Sets the Pace at the Esports World Cup

According to Esports Charts, the MLBB Mid Season Cup recorded 45.3 million views, nearly double the 23 milliongenerated by League of Legends, the second most-watched title at the Esports World Cup at the time of the report.

The tournament also produced the event's highest peak audience, with 2.89 million concurrent viewers tuning in for the MSC grand final.

A significant portion of that audience came from Southeast Asia, where Mobile Legends continues to dominate the competitive gaming landscape. Regional broadcasts, particularly Indonesia's official MPL channels, attracted millions of viewers throughout the event, while co-streams further expanded the tournament's reach across multiple languages and platforms.

The results reflect the strength of regional esports ecosystems that have consistently delivered some of the industry's largest audiences over the past several years.

Regional Communities Continue Driving Mobile Esports

The Esports World Cup figures also highlight how much of mobile esports' success comes from localized communities rather than a single global audience.

Indonesia remains one of Mobile Legends' biggest markets, with official broadcasts consistently drawing massive audiences during international tournaments. Community creators also played an important role throughout the Esports World Cup, helping drive additional viewership through co-streams.

Among the tournament's most-watched channels were popular League of Legends creator Caedrel, whose official co-stream ranked among the event's largest broadcasts, alongside Burmese content creator Zay Casting Channel, whose Mobile Legends coverage attracted a substantial audience.

The continued growth of regional broadcasts and creator-led viewing experiences reflects how esports consumption has evolved beyond traditional tournament streams. Fans increasingly choose localized coverage that offers commentary in their own language and a stronger connection to their communities.

Team Falcons Lead Club Watch Time

Esports Charts also reported that Team Falcons recorded the highest cumulative watch time among all organizations participating in the Esports World Cup, surpassing 33 million hours watched across multiple competitions.

The figure is hardly surprising given the organization's extensive presence throughout the festival. At the time the statistics were released, Team Falcons had already competed in 10 different titles, fielding multiple rosters across games including Mobile Legends, Fatal Fury, and Street Fighter 6.

That broad participation naturally increased the organization's exposure across tournament broadcasts, making Falcons one of the most visible clubs at this year's Esports World Cup.

With several marquee events still to come, including Counter-Strike 2, the overall viewership rankings could continue to shift before the Esports World Cup concludes. Even so, Mobile Legends has established a commanding lead halfway through the festival, once again demonstrating why mobile esports continues to produce some of the largest audiences in competitive gaming.
