Washington Tells Kalshi to Block Access for State Users

The order requires Kalshi to prevent users located in Washington from accessing its sports event contracts while legal proceedings continue. State regulators are saying that the contracts fall under Washington's gambling laws, while Kalshi maintains they are federally regulated financial products overseen by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
